The municipal sewer inspection industry is a critical service as existing infrastructure ages and reaches the end of its useful life. Municipalities need the intelligence provided by sewer inspections to determine where to spend their limited capital to maintain a functioning sewer system. This issue is particularly challenging for larger diameter sewers, the interceptors, and trunk sewers in a community that is sufficiently large and has too much sewage flowing through them to allow for traditional inspection via CCTV crawlers. The current industry standard for providing inspection is cost-prohibitive and does not allow a municipality to assess its system holistically.
MGH Inspection Services
Aging infrastructure: Many large municipalities now have hundreds of miles of large-diameter sewers that are many decades old and have never been inspected due to the cost and disruption associated with inspection.
Advancements in technology for smaller diameter sewer inspection (SL-RAT acoustic inspection) have allowed for rapid assessment using non-traditional means, opening the door for our technology for larger diameter inspection.
